The event was led by Dr. Maryam Mohamed Fatma Matar, founder and chairperson of the UAE Genetic Diseases Association, and counted on the exclusive presence of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, part of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi, head of the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Social Development, and President of the UAE Genetic Diseases Association. His Highness Al Nahyan handed out awards to recognize the medical and research community and shared a speech encouraging attendees to keep driving innovation in their fields.
